Kooyonga has proudly hosted five Australian Opens, nine South Australian Opens and eight National Amateur Championships and recently hosted the Women’s Australian Open in February 2018. The challenging layout and sensational playing surfaces of this championship course provides you with the ultimate golfing experience.
Designed by the Club founder H.L ‘Cargie’ Rymill, Kooyonga is a classic traditional style course laid out on a sandy, undulating parcel of land in Adelaide’s sand belt. Few changes to Rymill’s routing have taken place since it opened and current architects Crafter + Mogford have enhanced the beauty and playability of the course in recent years.
Members enjoy reciprocal arrangements with a number of prestigious golf clubs within Australia and internationally. This privilege provides members with the opportunity to access and experience world class private golf courses whilst travelling for business or pleasure.
The first of its kind in South Australia, our indoor and all weather Golf Academy offers our members the very best in coaching services with state-of-the-art training facilities and integrated teaching technology. The golf academy is complimented with extensive practice facilities including multiple target greens and three putting greens.

The course has been amazing. I think all the girls have really enjoyed playing at Kooyonga. There are some super tough holes out there and this course really depends on the wind. In my opinion the back nine is a little harder, the front nine more scoreable.

The clubhouse is a beautiful modern building with all the traditional elements you would expect. From the Club’s dining areas and terraces you can relax and enjoy the sweeping panoramic views of the golf course – as close as you can get to the golf course without actually playing.
Members of Kooyonga are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. Whether it’s relaxing in the Members’ Bar after your round, treating your guests to a la carte dining or hosting a private function, there is every opportunity to truly enjoy the hospitality of Kooyonga.
