The role of Workshop Supervisor within the Course Maintenance team offers an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic professional to join our highly skilled, diverse team who proudly strive to maintain and present this world-class facility for members and visitors. The successful applicant will be a qualified mechanic with experience across all engine types and fulfill the core role of being hands on in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of plant, equipment and other club assets.
Along with performing hands on mechanical work, additional requirements of the role are:
- Keeping of accurate records of all maintenance and repair activity
- Purchasing, stock and budget control of all equipment maintenance requirements
- Routine housekeeping of the workshop and maintenance facility
- Providing regular reporting and updates on plant and equipment status
- Involvement in recommendation and purchase of new equipment
- Willingness to maintain compliance with work health safety and environmental regulations
Desirable experience that would be beneficial in the role includes but is not limited to:
- An excellent level of diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Knowledge of hydraulic and auto electrical systems
- Basic fabrication and welding skills
- Knowledge of specific golf course equipment including reel grinding and cutting heads
- Computer literacy with administrative competency
The ability to be self-motivated, proactive and a supportive contributor in a team environment is critical to be successful in the role. The ideal candidate will bring excellent interpersonal, prioritisation and time management skills, be well presented, physically fit to undertake all duties and hold a current C class license.
This is a full-time role, based on a 38 hour week with the flexibility to adjust hours and days of work to support events and course maintenance requirements. A salary commensurate with skills and experience will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
